The Trolley was born…
The Trolley is certainly an icon around Great Falls, Montana. However, its history began in California as a streetcar and then was transformed into a vehicle that could drive on the city streets.
It made it’s way to a small Washington College where they were going to use it for student transportation. It was put out of commission when the college purchased a new fleet of buses.
It was meant to be…the 1884 number on the Trolley caught the eye of its next owner who was a Great Falls, Montana resident. 1884 was the year Great Falls was founded and now the new home of the Trolley.
This Trolley is still chugging along and giving joy to those who ride it – it’s quite a treat!
